Worth Their Time: Earning a Place in the Frontline Working Day

Join Everyone Active, DP World, Flip and Work Networks for a practical conversation about what makes technology genuinely useful and what it takes to turn initial interest into something employees choose to use as part of their everyday working lives.

Drawing on two successful but very different implementations, we'll explore the decisions that helped Everyone Active and DP World move beyond simply creating another communications channel.

29 September 2026

We'll discuss:

  • What you're competing for . Employees have limited time and attention, existing channels and deeply ingrained habits. How does new technology fit into that reality?

  • Usefulness before engagement. News and communications matter, but they're rarely enough on their own. What gives employees a genuine reason to come back?

  • The WhatsApp challenge . For many frontline organisations, WhatsApp is already simple, familiar and widely adopted. Moving business communication away from it means understanding what people currently use it for and providing a genuinely better alternative for those use cases.

  • The role of frontline managers. Managers can make or break new ways of working. We'll explore why involving them in shaping the experience, rather than simply asking them to promote it at launch, can have such an impact.

  • Relevance beats volume. More content doesn't create more engagement. How do you make sure employees see what matters to them without creating another source of noise?

  • Designing around real working lives. Different roles, shifts, locations and levels of digital access create very different needs.

Synopsis

Frontline employees don't need another channel to check. Their working days are already busy, their attention is limited and they often have established ways of finding information, talking to colleagues and getting things done.

So launching another platform isn't enough. It has to earn its place.

Join Everyone Active, DP World, Flip and Work Networks for a practical conversation about what makes technology genuinely useful — and what it takes to turn initial interest into something employees choose to use as part of their everyday working lives.

Drawing on two successful but very different implementations, we'll explore the decisions that helped Everyone Active and DP World move beyond simply creating another communications channel .

This won't be a conversation about driving people towards another app for the sake of it.

It's about a more fundamental question:

What does frontline technology need to offer to genuinely deserve a place in someone's working day?

Everyone Active and DP World will share what they've learnt from answering that question in practice — what worked, what they would do differently and what other organisations should consider when planning, implementing or evolving their own employee experience.

Today, she brings that perspective to major frontline transformation projects, working with organisations including Everyone Active to understand how people really work, shape the right employee experience and turn technology into something that delivers genuine everyday value.
