Flip Launches Four Products to Make Europe's Frontline Digitally Sovereign — Starting with Frontline Identity
In the face of a series of Microsoft data incidents that have put European digital infrastructure under scrutiny, Flip announces four new products at Forward 2026 in Frankfurt: Frontline Identity as a European-controlled alternative to US-based identity providers, Flip Fusion for AI-generated enterprise apps, the AI Flow Builder, and the AI Agent Gateway.
Stuttgart / Frankfurt am Main, 17 June 2026 — The incidents accumulated with troubling regularity. In May 2026, it emerged that Microsoft had shared Dutch civil servants' data — including emails and meeting notes from Office 365 — with US authorities. A year earlier, the company had blocked the email account of the International Criminal Court's Chief Prosecutor following US government sanctions. Peter Ganten, Chair of the Open Source Business Alliance, put the conclusion plainly: "We cannot rely on companies that are not under our jurisdiction."
That applies to government agencies. It applies equally to every European enterprise that is digitising its frontline workforce.
Flip is announcing today four new products from the stage of Forward 2026 — the company's annual conference at SPARK Europe in Frankfurt, before more than 200 enterprise HR, IT, and Internal Communications leaders.

A Durable Solution to a Global Infrastructure Gap
Approximately 2.7 billion people worldwide work without a desk. They are the workers in manufacturing plants, retail floors, logistics operations, and care facilities — the frontline workforce that keeps the global economy moving. Yet enterprise digital tools were not built for them. Authentication is cumbersome, workflows are paper-based or absent, and AI assistants remain the preserve of their desk-based colleagues.
As digital transformation extends deeper into frontline operations, the question of who controls employee identity — and under what regulatory framework — has shifted from a procurement decision to a strategic one. Flip was founded to close this gap. The products announced today represent its most significant step yet.
The Four New Products
Frontline Identity: Digital Sovereignty for the Frontline
Eighty percent of the global workforce has no personal digital access to their employer's systems. Shared passwords, printed PIN lists, and supervisor workarounds: this is the actual state of identity access management for employees without a PC in most large enterprises. Frontline Identity changes that entirely.
The solution gives every operative employee a secure, personal digital credential — built natively into the Flip app, requiring no external identity provider, no email address, and activatable via passkey, QR code, or invite code on shared or personal devices.
For European enterprises, the strategic implication is clear. Frontline Identity keeps identity infrastructure on European soil, under European governance, and under IT's direct control. No dependency on US-based identity providers, no third-party federation layer, no data residency uncertainty, and no exposure to foreign regulatory decisions that can override contractual protections overnight.

Chief Digitalization Officer, DEKRA.
Identity management for employees without a PC has historically been treated as an edge case. Frontline Identity makes it a first-class capability — and a decisive statement of European digital independence.
Flip Fusion: From Idea to Live Frontline App, in Minutes
Flip Fusion is an AI-native app builder that turns a plain-language description into a fully deployed, enterprise-grade application — authenticated, role-aware, compliant, and live across the entire frontline workforce within minutes.
Until now, building software for frontline workers required heavy development resources, complex integrations, lengthy IT sign-offs, and a deployment process measured in months. Fusion collapses that entirely. Because Fusion is native to the Flip platform, every application automatically inherits our robust identity layer, design system, permissions structure, and stringent European compliance framework. Build and ship are the same action.
The product targets a specific and persistent frustration: HR and Operations leaders who know exactly what their teams need, and have no practical path to building it. Fusion is built for them — not for developers.
AI Flow Builder: Workflows Generated from a Prompt
The AI Flow Builder enables any Flip administrator to generate a complete, multi-step operational workflow by describing it in natural language. The AI produces the architecture, messages, integrations, task assignments, and permission structures — ready to review, adapt, and activate.
For frontline organisations, this addresses one of the most persistent bottlenecks in digital transformation: the gap between operational knowledge, which lives with the people running the process, and technical execution, which has historically required specialist resources.
AI Agent Gateway: Connecting Ask AI to Enterprise Systems
The AI Agent Gateway connects Flip's Ask AI assistant to the enterprise systems that hold the data frontline workers need — including Jira, SAP, Salesforce, and Workday — via Model Context Protocol (MCP) server connections. IT administrators govern which systems and tools each agent can access. Workers receive answers and complete tasks without leaving Flip.
This represents the evolution of Ask AI from a knowledge assistant to an operational agent: one capable of retrieving live data, triggering actions in external systems, and completing tasks on behalf of the worker — within a governance framework that IT controls. The AI Agent Gateway is available for general availability from June 2026.
