Job description
We're a high growth tech scale-up based in Stuttgart, and we have ambitious plans to scale internationally. We're hiring a Senior HR Business Partner to act as a true commercial partner to the business - translating people data into decisions, enabling international growth, and building a high-performance culture that scales across geographies.
Reporting to the SVP People, this role is for someone who sees HR as a lever for business performance, not an administrative function. You'll set the bar for what "good" looks like at every level, hold managers and leaders accountable to it, and create the conditions where ambitious people do their best work. If you thrive on owning headcount plans, productivity metrics, retention economics, and the cultural standards that underpin all of it - we want to hear from you. You're passionate about developing people and continuing to build on the already great culture at Flip.
What you can expect
Strategic Business Partnering. Partner directly with senior leaders to translate business goals into workforce plans, capability roadmaps, and productivity targets. You're hands-on in delivery, not just advisory, ensuring that Flipster experience is at the heart of everything we do.
International Expansion. Lead the HR workstream for our international scale-up: entity vs. EOR decisions, cross-border employment law, compensation banding, benefits benchmarking, and onboarding frameworks for international hires.
Performance, Talent & Culture. Design and run performance cycles, calibration sessions, and succession planning. Coach managers to raise the leadership bar across the company. Maintain cultural cohesion as we scale rapidly across geographies.
People Analytics & Compensation. Own the full analytics layer - attrition, eNPS, time-to-productivity, cost-per-hire - and use it to drive investment decisions. Partner with Finance on compensation benchmarking, equity refresh, and salary reviews.
Employee Relations & Compliance. Act as the first point of escalation for complex ER cases across all locations. Own employment risk management across Germany and our international entities.
AI & Project Delivery. Actively use AI tools to multiply your own output and enable managers to do the same. Own HR projects end-to-end with rigour - scoped, planned, and closed.
What you bring to the table
HRBP experience. 5+ years as a Senior HR Business Partner in an international high-growth SaaS or tech environment - you've owned the full people agenda, not just supported it.
Commercial mindset. You think like an operator: model attrition costs, justify comp uplifts with data, and push back on hiring requests that lack a business case.
Coaching capability. Proven track record of developing managers and senior leaders - you raise their game rather than creating dependency on HR.
Data & AI fluency. Comfortable in HRIS platforms (e.g. HiBob), spreadsheet modelling, and already using AI tools (Claude, Gemini, or similar) day-to-day - with concrete examples to show for it.
International employment expertise. Experience with EOR structures, multi-jurisdiction benefits, and international employment frameworks.
Scale-up stage experience. You've been through a significant growth phase before and know what breaks first.
German labour law. Solid working knowledge of German labour law and the ability to navigate complex ER situations independently.
Language skills. Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
