Accessibility Notice

Last updated: February 2026

Flip GmbH is committed to ensuring that our website, www.getflip.com, is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level, as well as the requirements set out in the European standard EN 301 549.

Conformance status

Our goal is full digital accessibility for every visitor. We currently align with the majority of WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria and use a rigorous testing framework to identify areas for improvement. Our dedicated audit process covers 560+ pages, checking against multiple layers of WCAG standards (from 2.0 through 2.2) to ensure we are identifying and resolving barriers as we scale.

Accessibility features

We have implemented the following measures to improve accessibility on our website:

  • Keyboard navigation: We prioritise keyboard accessibility so that interactive elements—including menus, forms, and buttons—are operable without a mouse.

  • Skip-to-content link: A skip navigation link allows keyboard users to bypass the header and navigate directly to the main content.

  • Focus indicators: Visible focus outlines are provided on all interactive elements so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and ARIA attributes to support screen readers and other assistive technologies.

  • Form accessibility: All form fields are associated with labels, required fields are indicated with aria-required, and error messages are programmatically linked to their respective fields.

  • Reduced motion: We respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting. When enabled, animations and transitions are disabled across the entire website.

  • Responsive design: Content is accessible and usable across all screen sizes, from desktop to mobile.

  • Text alternatives: Images include descriptive alt text where appropriate. Decorative images are marked so that they are ignored by assistive technologies.

Technical specifications

Accessibility relies on the following technologies:

  • HTML

  • WAI-ARIA

  • CSS

  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards applied.

Limitations and known issues

Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Third-party content — Certain embedded third-party components (e.g., testimonial widgets, video players, cookie consent banners) are outside our direct control and may not fully meet accessibility standards. We work with our vendors to encourage improvements.

  • PDF documents — Some downloadable documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these over time.

Browser and assistive technology compatibility

This website is designed to be compatible with the following browsers and assistive technologies:

  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest versions)

  • Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows)

  • Other assistive technologies: Voice control, switch devices, screen magnifiers

Assessment approach

How we ensure accessibility We take a multi-layered approach to maintaining an accessible site:

  • Continuous Monitoring: We use industry-leading automated tools to scan our entire site for accessibility gaps every time we update our code.

  • Proactive Coding: Our developers use specialized quality-control tools to catch potential accessibility issues before they even reach the website.

  • Human Review: Automated tools can’t catch everything. We manually test new features using keyboard-only navigation and screen readers to ensure a smooth experience for all users.
